October 8th sees the London launch party for Re:Call To Mind – a remix album of Commix’s drum n bass album Call To Mind which came out on Metalheadz in 2007. The remix album features remixes from across the spectrum, including the headliners at this event, Dettmann, Instra:mental, and more.

SCAND – a night of quality electronics is on the horizon for London.
Cultivated Electronics returns with it’s second party of 2010. Celebrating the release of it’s 7th EP, CE is proud to invite back two Scand highlights from 2009. Friday 27th August, launch party for Cultivated Electronics EP007 – Silicon Scally “Process” Remixes (Morphology/Sync 24). Its at the intimate The Gramaphone.

Colour in Manchester have only been running events for a relatively short period of time but each event one has seen a spot on, unmissable line up of proper techno. They’ve been sticking their necks on the line and importing arstists to these shores that unfortunately rarely play in the UK, let alone Manchester.

I never thought I’d say this, but having moved to London earlier this year I was a little disappointed with its techno scene. Except for Fabric booking some techno artists, events like Derrick May at Bleep43 and Sandwell District at SlashDotDash have been few and far between.
It’s so refreshing to see a few promoters fighting against the grain with (proper) techno and (proper) electro, like Plex, Bleep43, Lost Souls, and SlashDotDash. The following is a flyer for a new event in the capital and a set from one of their headliners Casual Violence.
